Communication with Parents
At Kettering Park Junior Academy, we believe that strong communication between home and school is essential in supporting every child's learning and wellbeing. We use a range of communication tools to keep families informed, celebrate achievements and share important information about school life.
Arbor Parent Portal
We use Arbor as our main management information and communication system.
Through Arbor, parents and carers can access and receive:
- School letters and communications
- Parents' evening bookings
- Club bookings
- Educational visit and trip payments
- Newsletters
- General school notifications and updates
Arbor can be accessed on a computer, tablet or smartphone via the Arbor Parent Portal or Arbor App.
Setting Up Arbor
Getting started with Arbor is quick and simple.
To set up your account:
- Check your email for your Arbor invitation.
- Follow the step-by-step instructions provided.
- Download the Arbor Parent Portal App.
- Turn on notifications to receive instant alerts whenever the school sends information.
This ensures you never miss an important update.
Class Dojo
We also use Class Dojo as an additional communication platform between home and school.
Class Dojo allows teachers to:
- Share class messages and reminders
- Set home learning tasks
- Celebrate achievements
- Share photographs of learning and activities
- Maintain contact with pupils when remote learning is required
We ask all families to sign up for Class Dojo, as it is a simple and free way to stay connected with your child's class.
